Soprano Yoshiko Kurahara Short version profile

Yoshiko Kurahara was born in Takeda city of Oita prefecture in Japan. She graduated from the Vocal Music Department of Tokyo University of the Arts.

She has been performing worldwide for 35 years as a singer.

Her powerful voice comes straight from the universe with messages of love. It grabs everyone's heart and soul and her fans call her "Dive of the Milky Way". Yoshiko sings with prayer to calm souls and bring world peace. In 2010, she became the first Japanese to sing the Italian national anthem at the Italy Skii World Cup. Profile

Yoshiko Kurahara was born in Takeda city of Oita prefecture in Japan. She studied at vocal music department of Musashino Academia Musicae. She graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts with Italian Opera major in vocal music department. She completed the course at Tokyo Nikikai Opera Institute. In 1991, she moved to Italy. She has been performing worldwide, mainly in Europe, for the last 35 years. Her wide repertory includes opera, classics, church music, jazz, pops, etc. She became the first Japanese singer to sing Italian national anthem at the opening ceremony of FISI Skii World Cup in Bormio, Italy. On March 11, 2011, which was her birthday, she watched the news of the mega earthquake in Eastern Japan in Italy. Such a shocking event lead her to sing Ave Maria to calm the lost souls and prayed for the world peace. She sang a cappella by herself, in many sacred places of Italy. Such scene was broadcasted on Vatican's Radio Maria and heard all over the world. Although Yoshiko lost everything in her DV experience, she posted her songs on a free music sight. Her songs have been heard in 50 countries with 75,000 shares. The numbers are still growing. Her voice traveled to Japan as well. Since her concert in Japan on March 11, 2015, many fans provided her the opportunities to sing in concerts all over the country to this date.

In August, 2015, there was World Peace Memorial Concert held at Memorial Cathedral for World peace in Hiroshima, Japan to commemorate the 70th anniversary of atomic bomb and the end of the war. Yoshiko performed in the concert. Also in the fall of 2015, she appeared as a guest performer at a Japanese event in Milan International Exposition. a Japanese event. Yoshiko sang Kimigayo, Japanese national anthem, and Italian national anthem at the opening ceremony of ”150 Anniversario delle relazioni tra Giappone e Italia" in San Gemini, Italy. She also arranged a music tour to visit 15 cities in Italy. During the tour, 8 participants traveled 3,000 Km and performed 17 concerts. The excitement spread beyond Italy and the tour group was invited to Switzerland to perform a concert. Yoshiko's voice touched so many souls. Her fans started to call her "Diva of the Milky Way".

Her works includes corroboration performance with many musicians and artists of the world, introducing Japanese traditional music to overseas, live concerts, workshops(talk), etc. Through her own experience, she developed a special breathing method. She teaches the method in special workshops called "Premium Voice Lecture". Yoshiko's base is in Japan now. She keeps performing in all over the world.

プロフィール 大分県竹田市出身。 武蔵野音楽大学短大部音楽教育科声楽専攻 東京芸術大学音楽学部声楽科（イタリアオペラ専攻）卒業 東京二期会オペラ研修所修了 1991 年よりイタリアへ移住。オペラ、クラシック、歌曲、教会音楽、ジャス、 ポップ、即興に至る幅広いレパートリーを持ち ヨーロッパを中心に今日まで 35 年間国際的演奏活動を行う。

2010 年イタリアボルミオ FISI スキーワールドカップ開会式には 外国人（日本人）歌手初のイタリア国歌斉唱を務める。

2011 年 3 月 11 日倉原自身の誕生日、イタリアで見た衝撃の東日本大震 災発生以来、魂の鎮魂、世界平和を祈るアヴェマリアを単身、 アカペラでヨーロッパ各地の聖地で奉納する行脚の様子は、ヴァチカンの ラジオマリアでも紹介され、実況された歌声は全世界へ響き渡った。

自ら 体験した DV により全てを奪い取られながらも、歌い続けた曲を無料音楽 視聴サイトに投稿。現在は世界５０カ国で 80,000 シェアの記録更新しつつ聴き継がれている。 その波紋は日本にも伝わり、2015 年 3 月 11 日より倉原䛾歌声に魅せら れた人々が催す日本各地での草の根コンサートツアーとなり 今日に及んでいる。

2015 年 8 月原爆終戦 70 周年広島の世界平和記念大聖堂にて 世界平和祈念コンサートに出演。同年秋にはミラノ国際万博日本館公式 イベント『日本の祭典インミラノ』に特別ゲストとして出演。

2016 年 6 月日伊友好 150 周年記念イタリアサンジェミニ市公式行事䛾 オープンイングセレモニーでは、君が代とイタリア国歌を斉唱。同時に、 自ら企画したイタリア音楽巡礼の旅で䛿、３人の音楽家を含む 同行者８名と２２日間にわたりイタリア 15 都市 3000km 縦断し、 驚異の 17 公演を遂行、感動の波紋は国境を越え、 急遽スイス公演も行った。 魂を揺さぶられる歌声に、いつしか『銀河の歌姫』と呼ばれるようになり、 世界の音楽家、アーティストとのコラボ、日本伝統音楽芸能の海外への紹介、ライブ、講演、コンサートはもとより自らの経験から生み出した 呼吸発声法で、プレミアムヴォイスレクチャーを展開、現在は日本に拠点 を置き、世界へと発振している。
